Scituate Friends of Music (SFM) supports all of the Scituate Public School Music Programs in Grades K-12.
SFM is made up of parents, teachers, students, and community members who wish to support quality music programming.

We chaperone field trips, volunteer for musical events and exchange-concerts, as well as handle publicity and fundraising to benefit all music students. Our past fundraising efforts have allowed us to purchase musical instruments, sheet music, classroom equipment, workshops, and material for the Kindergarten through Grade 12 music programs.

We need your participation at any level! Meeting Dates will be listed below.  Our meetings are short and informative.
If your child participates in a music program at any of the schools in town, you are already a member of SFM. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and to be involved with your child's music education.  Meetings are usually the second Tuesday night of each month.

It is important to remember that Friends of Music is not merely about high school music programs. We are here for ALL GRADES. So please, if you can find time to attend, we welcome your input.

                  Wampatuck - Musical instruments and supplies for entire school
                  High School & Town - Repair Lehigh light board & upgrade to Windows XP
                  Cushing/Hatherly/Jenkins/Wampatuck - Tickets for Grade 3 field trip                  
                  High School Band - 12 string guitar & workshop
                  High School & Gates - collections at the door for each school
                  High School - Music technology workshop
                  Tuning piano at high school for use during all school concerts
